Account & Data Deletion

You can ask us to permanently delete your FileWithUs.ai account and personal data at any time. This page explains how to request it and what happens to your data.

How to request deletion

1. 1From the app: open the FileWithUs.ai app and go to Profile → Delete account, then follow the prompt.
2. 2Or by email: send a request from your registered email address to support@filewithus.ai with the subject “Account deletion request”.
3. 3We verify the request comes from the account owner and process it within 30 days. We’ll confirm by email when it’s done.

What gets deleted

• Your account profile — name, email, mobile number, and login credentials.
• Personal identifiers you provided, such as PAN, Aadhaar, and bank details.
• Documents you uploaded (e.g. Form 16, statements) that are not required to be retained by law.
• Your saved preferences and app settings.

What we must retain

Invoices, tax returns, and related financial records are subject to retention requirements under GST and Income Tax law. We may keep these records for the period required by law (generally up to 8 years), after which they are deleted or anonymised. Retained records are kept only for legal compliance and are not used for any other purpose.
